Alumni Program

floChicago’s programming extends beyond the initial floFellows experience. Following graduation, floFellows are invited to remain engaged with and continue learning from floChicago’s offerings as part of the floAlumni program. We believe in our youth’s potential to be civically engaged, creative and corporate thought leaders and we thrive on being a catalyst for growth through continued exposure to and engagement with new people, places and perspectives. floAlumni are given the opportunity to continue developing their leadership skills, reunite with their peers, support future cohorts of floFellows and refer individuals in their network who they see as future leaders of Chicago.

Reunite

with your peers while exploring relevant topics and hearing from new voices. All past floFellows are invited to reconnect, network and continue growing their leadership abilities. To learn more and make sure you’re in the loop about upcoming alumni events and activities, please contact Brandi Snodgrass, Alumni Coordinator.

Support

future floFellows! We regularly welcome our alumni back to work as Program Facilitators during the floWeek in the summer. Alumni are involved as mentors, speakers on college panels, judges for final presentations and more.

Refer

high school juniors that you think are the future leaders of Chicago! We want to meet them!  Simply send their name and information to our Executive Director, Katie Hytros, so they are added to the next outreach.

Upon completing the floFellows program students are forever considered floAlumni.

What are you currently up to? I am studying Learning & Organizational Change at Northwestern University and hope to be a consultant.

Favorite floChicago Memory: Our debrief discussions at the end of the day. Each day was a whirlwind of events and it was always meaningful to sit down and talk with our cohort about its effect on us. I believe that through these discussions and wrestling with the questions we have, this is where change happens within ourselves.

How has floChicago Impacted You: I was able to meet so many people with so many backgrounds….I also learned more about the city I live in, visited places I didn't believe I would have gone to on my own, which deepened my love for Chicago. I saw the brokenness in Chicago, which deepens my desire to serve the city and its people.
